Job overview

 

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic Biomedical Scientist Manager with experience of management in laboratory sciences to lead our Blood Sciences team in our laboratory at Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor. 

The successful candidate will have an open mind, collaborative approach and a focus on quality and service delivery with the interpersonal skills to take our friendly, highly skilled team with you as you deliver change, improvement and innovation.

Main duties of the job

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. 

 

Working as part of a 3 site directorate delivering 24/7 Blood Sciences Services you will lead service delivery, performance and development on our ‘West’ site whilst working closely with our East and West site managers, service leads, senior scientists and Quality & Governance team to continue our ongoing modernization and continuous service improvement.

Essential criteria
  • HCPC Registered Biomedical Scientist with Masters Degree or equivalent experience
  • Significant relevant experience in a managerial post
  • Up to date in all current issues related to blood sciences practice
  • Leadership training or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
  • Post-graduate management qualification
  • Teaching or coaching qualification
