Applications are invited for an Inflammatory Bowel Disease Co-ordinator.
We are looking for a self motivated person with previous secretarial experience to work as part of a busy specialty team. The successful applicant will need to possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to deal with confidential patient information. Along with an excellent level of secretarial and organisational skills, you will be required to provide first class administration support to the department.
Main duties of the job
This post will provide administration support, which will include; filing of investigation results; preparing and sending out medical correspondence to General Practitioners.
At all times the post holder will be expected to use discretion, sensitivity and deal with information in a confidential and professional manner.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post holder will be expected to work within strict protocol and guidance provided by the IBD nurses to ensure appropriate processing of referrals and treatment regime for the majority of decisions regarding priority, standards and urgency of responsibilities and tasks. This will involve audio typing of nurse clinics, medical correspondence, and diary management with a high degree of contact with patients, General Practitioners, relatives, carers of patients.
