The salary scale above has been agreed as part of the NHS Agenda for Change pay award for 2025/2026 and will be implemented in August 2025 with arrears backdated to 1st April 2025 where applicable.

This post is Fixed term/Secondment until 31/03/2026 to meet the needs of the service.

To provide high-level administrative Support to the Gwynedd Flying Start Health Team based in Bangor, within the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.

To communicate and liaise with individuals and groups across the Health Board and individuals and groups from external organisations dealing with sensitive or contentious information.

The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post; Welsh speakers are welcome to apply.

Main duties of the job

Acts as the first point of contact for the health team and/or for visitors.

Provide administrative support and some basic clinical support for the health visitors and nursery nurses and their teams. Support  the team by referring concerns to the most appropriate person during periods when they are absent from the office.

Schedules and arranges meetings and groups for the health staff /team.

Manages the administrative and audit data for the Flying Start Team within the area.

Files and manages all reports and correspondence ensuring that all documents are retained destroyed/logged accordingly as per BCU Policy and GDPR Guidelines.

Qulaifications & Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • RSA III / NVQ 3 Qualification or equivalent.
  • ECDL Qualification or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • NVQ or equivalent in Administration
  • Advanced ECDL Certificate

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience at a high level of providing a comprehensive secretarial service
  • Experience of setting up and using filing/IT systems
  • Familiar with office procedures & deadlines
Desirable criteria
  • Previous experience of working as a personal secretary
  • Previous experience of working within the NHS
