Exciting Opportunity on Ogwen Ward – 12-Month Secondment
We are delighted to offer an exciting secondment opportunity for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join the team on Ogwen Ward, a 30-bedded Trauma and Orthopaedic ward at Ysbyty Gwynedd.
This 12-month post offers a fantastic chance to gain valuable experience within a dynamic and supportive environment. Ogwen Ward works closely with the Emergency Department, Theatres, and a range of multidisciplinary teams including Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to provide high-quality, patient-centred care.
We are seeking candidates who are passionate about delivering excellent care and who are keen to contribute to our ongoing commitment to clinical excellence and teamwork.

Main duties of the job
As a Health Care Assistant, you will collaborate closely with nursing staff to support daily operations, contributing to the overall care and well-being of patients, visitors, and staff. Your role is vital in fostering a safe and nurturing environment for all.
The ideal candidate will be encouraged to collaborate effectively within a team to uphold high standards of care, while also demonstrating the capacity to work independently when needed.
Rota schedules are designed to cover a full 24-hour period and incorporate a balanced mix of both day and night shifts.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
