Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Services Co-ordinator within the Division of Medicine, based at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd.
With support from the Lead Manager, senior managers and clinicians the post holder will be responsible for the daily operational management of medical staffing issues and rota coordination. Key aspects of this post include developing, coordinating and managing all on call rotas within the Medicine Division. The post holder will have responsibility for producing and managing the on call roster through the Health Roster electronic system. Support the co-ordination and management of ward clerk team to include PADR’s, sickness and recruitment. The post holder will work within the Operational Management Team with support from the Lead Manager to ensure training rotas are monitored twice yearly to ensure sustained compliance with the New Deal and all rotas are EWTR compliant.
By nature of this post excellent written and communication skills as well as the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines, is essential.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide day to day operational management of the administration and clerical/Clinical staff within the Division.
The Clinical Services co-ordinator will support the Medicine Management Team in ensuring sound administrative processes are in place to support the Directorate clinical teams in achieving operational objectives in an efficient and effective way.
Excellent written and communication skills together with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines are essential.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

- Extensive experience of staff management
- Previous experience of managing financial resources
- Sound knowledge of IT system
- Knowledge of waiting list management

- Experience of handling complex/sensitive complaint or situations/ issues
- Able to communicate with all levels of staff representatives and managers in a clear and confident manager
