Job overview
The post holder will support the delivery of a comprehensive high quality medical secretarial administrative service.
Working as part of a team the post holder will be required to provide an efficient and effective secretarial service to the team, supporting the delivery of a high quality service to patients and staff.
Applicants must be extremely flexible to meet the needs of the service, have a pleasant personality and a positive approach to their work. Applicants must also have a good standard of education, be adaptable and have good organisational skills.
Sufficient medical secretarial experience and knowledge of the Patient Administration System (WPAS) is essential.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of role will involve typing/formatting clinic letters and reports from dictated materials, promptly and efficiently, ensuring accuracy.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

It is essential that candidates have advanced keyboard skills and audio typing/word processing qualifications, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages. Candidates should also have a good standard of education, excellent communication skills and a knowledge of medical terminology.
The post holder will also be required to be part of the wider admin team and assist with the general administrative support to the service as required.
