Main duties of the job

Utilise professional clinical experience and professional judgement to manage the Emergency Department and team. Develop innovative Nursing practice in area of responsibility.  Develop and maintain relationships with patients, colleagues and members of the multidisciplinary team and other Health Board and social care providers. Assist in the investigation of complaints , adverse incidents and health and safety issues and initiate appropriate action

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • • NMC Registered Nurse
  • • ALS, ATLS, PiLS
  • • Evidence of Study at Level 6
  • Management qualification or combination of knowledge and experience acquired through management of a team in a clinical setting.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • • Significant current experience of clinical practice at a senior level in Emergency Care
  • • Evidence of being up to date in Emergency Care & associated nursing skills & practice
  • • Evidence of teaching experience.
  • • Evidence of working at a senior level in managerial capacity.
