Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Acute Paediatric Department. Are you an organised and focused individual looking for a rewarding opportunity, then we have the perfect role for you?
The candidate will provide secretarial support for the acute Paediatric Team. You will require excellent communication and organisation skills with a degree of flexibility, as this role will provide cover for 5 consultant desks and assist with typing of clinic letters and other general office duties.
The vacancy is for 12 hours per week Monday and Tuesday.
Main duties of the job
To provide an accurate and prompt administrative function to facilitate the delivery of an efficient and effective service.
You will provide general day to day administrative support which may include typing, filing, tracking, retrieving notes and general office ad hoc duties, together with supporting Consultant Secretaries desks.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential criteria
- NVQ Business Administration L3 or equivalent experience
- Keyboard/typing qualification or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of a range of administrative processes
- Experience of working in a busy office environment
- Proficient in use of Microsoft office applications
Desirable criteria
- AMSPAR – City & Guilds L3
- NVQ Customer Service L3
- Experience of working within the NHS.
- Knowledge of NHS Organisations. Medical terminology.
