Job overview

Applications are invited for the position of a Quality and Governance Administrator within the busy BCU Radiology Department . Base will be decided on appointment of successful candidate. 

This role is mainly consists off providing comprehensive administrative support to the Radiology Management Team, through the Head of Quality & Governance. Supporting the Quality and Governance across BCU Radiology. 

The successful candidate must have a good understanding of MS Office applications including Word, Outlook and Excel.

Main duties of the job

Collate and coordinate requests for access for non medical referrers. Maintain relevant databases, and ensure that the Radiology Service complies with requests for information where applicable.

Undertake the Communication role on behalf of the Quality and Governance Team, including drafting regular communications, undertaking administration activities in relation to the Quality Standards in Imaging (QSI) and maintaining the Radiology SharePoint site when necessary.

Coordinate the process for ensuring that Radiology policies and procedures are kept up to date.

Provide support to, and maintain accurate records of audit and outcome measures, tracking outcomes to resolution.

The post holder must also have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, using discretion, judgment and initiative. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential together with a keen eye for detail, with the ability to process and generate urgent and routine correspondence.

Candidates must be able to maintain patient confidentiality and ensure a high standard of customer care at all times.

It is essential that the successful candidate has a flexible approach to work to meet the demands of the service.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
