We expect you can demonstrate an interest in medical/radiotherapy physics, but offer on the job training and the opportunity to work towards registration as a clinical scientist.
We provide radiotherapy treatments to about 1800 patients per annum, using four Varian linear accelerators, eclipse planning system, prosoma virtual simulation, ortho-voltage treatment unit and a CT scanner. We were early implementers of VMAT, FFF VMAT, AI based outlining and SGRT. With your assistance we will continue to develop the service, offer SABR and continue to modernise our equipment. In the coming year we will replace two accelerators and upgrade our radiotherapy IT system to the latest version.

You will provide support to all aspects of the work in our group such as treatment planning, treatment machine QA and dosimetry, and assist in the commissioning of new equipment and treatment techniques. The post offers an opportunity to work towards registration as a Clinical Scientist by collating a portfolio of work.
We welcome informal visits to meet the team and see the natural beauty of our surroundings in the scenic vale of Clwyd.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
