We need highly motivated and suitably dedicated personnel for available positions as a Theatre Assistant working in Glan Clwyd Operating Theatres.
Ysbyty Glan Clwyd is a busy hospital located in the beautiful county of Denbighshire, with immediate access to the main route in and out of North Wales (A55) providing excellent links to the Snowdonia National Park and the Llyn Peninsula.
It has a new, fully refurbished, and modern Theatre Suite comprising of 12 operating theatres covering a variety of surgical specialties including Colo-rectal (including laparoscopic surgery), major Head & Neck (ENT & Max Fax) Urology, Gynae, Obstetric, Vascular, Orthopaedic (trauma & elective), Breast and Emergency surgery.
All new starters will be supported via the preceptorship programme that is available within the department.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for providing support for the delivery of high standard care to patients within the theatre complex and to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in the theatre.
The post holder will provide safe transportation service for all patients coming to theatre and back to the ward area and also within the operating theatre complex.
The post holder will ensure that care is of a high standard, is non-discriminatory and non-prejudicial and will carry out all tasks in accordance with unit policies and procedures.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
