Job overview

We are currently looking for an experienced and proactive Medical Secretary to join the Trauma and Orthopaedic Admin Team in Glan Clwyd Hospital. The candidate will be enthusiastic and highly motivated with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 

We have 2 positions available.

Full time 37.5 hours Monday to Friday 
Part Time 18.75 hours - Days to be confirmed 

 

Main duties of the job

The role will be to provide a comprehensive range of secretarial and administration duties to the Trauma and Orthopaedic Department.

This challenging position requires someone who is a team player, flexible, organised and is able to work well under pressure. The successful candidate will need to be an experienced typist, qualified to RSA Typing Level II (or equivalent). This position also requires excellent communication skills, the ability to meet the demands of working in a busy environment and is able to represent the department with due professionalism.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential criteria
  • NVQ Business Administration L3 or equivalent experience
  • RSA /OCR level 2 or equivalent experience (must be a proficient user of Microsoft word)
  • IT related qualification CLAIT plus /ECDL or equivalent

  • AMSPAR – City & Guilds L3
  • NVQ Customer Service L3

Experience
