Job overview

Join our new Neurodiversity Support Team and play a key role in helping schools across BNSSG better understand and support neurodivergent children and young people.

We are looking for an Admin Team Lead to join this developing team and help shape a new way of supporting neurodivergent children and young people across the region.

The Neurodiversity Support Team is a multidisciplinary clinical service working in partnership with education settings to deliver high-quality Neurodivergent Needs Analyses. The team provides expert guidance, consultation and quality assurance to ensure needs profiles are consistent, meaningful and impactful.

As part of a system-wide programme, the service is introducing Neurodivergent Needs Analysis across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG). The team works closely with schools across the region, providing training, consultation and practical support to help them better understand and respond to the needs of neurodivergent children and young people.

The service champions early intervention and a needs-led approach, focusing on each child or young person’s strengths and challenges rather than diagnostic labels.

Main duties of the job

As the Admin Team Lead, you will act as a senior coordinator for administrative processes within the Neurodiversity Support Service, helping ensure smooth and efficient workflows across the team. You will support the delivery of Neurodivergent Needs Analyses and training, while liaising confidently with education settings, families and partner organisations.

Working closely with the wider team, you will help maintain high-quality administrative processes, ensuring profiling documentation and training coordination are accurate, consistent and well organised.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating administrative workflows to support smooth service delivery

  • Supporting the organisation of Neurodivergent Needs Analyses and training activities

  • Acting as a key contact for schools, families and partner organisations

  • Managing enquiries and supporting clear communication across the service

  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring profiling documentation is consistent and well organised

  • Arranging meetings, training sessions and service activities

  • Managing information in line with organisational standards and procedures

  • Upholding confidentiality, safeguarding procedures and professional standards
