Job overview

Are you looking for a role where you can make a meaningful impact each day?

We are seeking a passionate Dramatherapist to join our friendly and supportive Arts Therapies Team. Applications from newly qualified Dramatherapists are warmly welcomed.

You will work alongside Art, Drama and Music Therapists across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) within the Sirona Adult Learning Disability Health Service (ALDHS), dedicated to supporting children and young people with learning disabilities in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.

The Sirona Adult Learning Disability Health Service (ALDHS) is a centre of excellence for specialist learning disability health needs. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will help improve access to health services through creative therapeutic work, collaboration with other professionals, and supporting colleagues to work effectively with people with learning disabilities.

Main duties of the job

  • Within ALDHS, Dramatherapists provide specialist individual and group interventions to individuals and their families and support networks, including assessment and formulation.

  • Dramatherapists also provide specialist advice and guidance, as well as carry out wider psychological tasks and responsibilities as members of the Mental Health and Behaviour ALDHS Team.

  • They contribute to MDT meetings and carry out other core tasks and roles within the wider ALDHS such as dementia, access and transition assessments.
