Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Physiotherapy Technical Instructor to work within the inpatient physiotherapy team at Colwyn Bay Hospital.   

The successful candidate will be joining the physiotherapy team to provide rehabilitation to patients who are on the inpatient wards at Colwyn Bay Community Hospital and will be working closely with other members of the MDT - Including OT, Nurses, Doctors and others. There may also be a requirement to provide some cover to Llandudno Hospital to cover leave within the team occasionally.

Main duties of the job

The successful Candidate will: 

  • Assist the qualified physiotherapist in the overall management of patients therapy needs in collaboration with carers, support workers, health staff and agencies.
  • Under the direction and guidance of the qualified physiotherapist, to manage and be responsible for their own clinical caseload of clients, following therapeutic programmes in order to improve their physical abilities and to minimise disabilities.
  • Issuing equipment as appropriate. 
  • Work independently using own initiative, within level of competence.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. 

The ability to travel to meet the needs of this role is essential.
