Job overview

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and creative Physiotherapist to work as the Team Leader for the scheduled care teams within Flintshire, East IHC.

This post will be responsible for the day to day management of all Physiotherapy outpatients clinics in Deeside and Mold Community Hospitals and also operationally manage the Pulmonary Rehabilitation service.

The post-holder will be based within one of the hospital sites and will be expected to carry a clinical caseload within one of these teams.  The role will also require travel to other hospital sites to provide operational support to teams.

The post-holder will work alongside other team leaders and the management team to improve and develop Physiotherapy Services across the East Area.

Main duties of the job

As the team leader the post holder will support the physiotherapy management team by holding operational responsibility for their teams, including supervision, performance management, sickness absence management, staff appraisal, risk management and informal 'on the spot' resolution.

The post holder will provide clinical leadership to the Musculoskeletal teams and hold a clinical case load, performing advanced clinical assessment of patients including those with highly complex presentations and from this formulating a diagnosis and treatment plan carried out as an autonomous practitioner. They will have acquired specialist knowledge within clinical work area.

You will be supported in this role by the Physiotherapy Leadership Team.  Appropriate training and courses will be provided.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
