Job overview
This post is Fixed term/Secondment for 6 months to meet the needs of the service.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated person who will provide clerical administrative support in the Child Health School Health Service. The post will be based at Y Lawnt Dolgellau.
The successful candidate will have a good standard of education, good communication skills, be able to work on their own initiative and be efficient and organised with their own workload. The candidate should also have keyboard skills and experience of Microsoft Office Package.
A good telephone manner and communication skills are essential. The post holder will be required to demonstrate a professional and sensitive manner and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Main duties of the job
- The post holder will provide clerical support for school health within the Child Health department. The post holder will be based at the Y Lawnt Child Health Sector Office, Dolgellau (West) but may be required to work in other bases.
- Inputting patient data on Child Health computer system including details of medical examinations, immunisation results, significant conditions and medical history.
- Updating and maintaining Child Health records.
- Arranging the transfer of records for children moving in and out of schools and in and out of the area. Sending records to and receiving them from other Child Health departments, Health Visitors, School Nurses and other agencies. Checking with GP’s, A&C and professional staff locally and in other areas to ensure that all resident children are entered on the computer system.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
