Job overview
North Wales GP Out of Hours East Division would like to invite applications for a part-time Shift Supervisor, to work from Deeside Community/ Wrexham Ty Derbyn Hospital. This post will be part-time, applicant's shifts will cover weekends and bank holidays.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Please note all shifts undertaken in the out of hours period are subject to enhanced pay in line with A4C terms and conditions. Typical enhancements are +30% weekdays and Saturdays and +60% for Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Main duties of the job
The role will involve.
Leading the Out of Hours operational team during shift, providing a safe, effective Out of Hours service to the health community in North Wales.
Working without supervision and being responsible for motivating the team.
Monitoring the work levels and staffing levels, at the call centre in the divisional area to ensure that the service meets the WAG National Quality Requirements in the Out of Hours; identifying when extra staff are required, taking into account the safety and welfare of the staff.
Liaising with other shift supervisors across North Wales to ensure work is managed across North Wales.

Essential criteria
- Relevant ECDL modules or willingness to complete
- Evidence of continued ongoing education

- Evidence of previous managerial experience

- Significant experience in the GP Out of hours when operational
- Previous experience of call handling in GP Out of Hours
