Job overview

To deputise and assist with the ongoing development of the  Mental Health Services on behalf of Mental Health & Learning Disability Division within a scheme of delegated authority under the direction of the designated Community Services Manager Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered  Nurse, OT, Social Worker or Psychologist, who has significant experience within Mental Health and is looking to provide leadership, ongoing review and development and operational management to a busy team in Gwynedd.

You will have excellent communication skills, be self motivated, proactive and committed to the promotion of innovation for service delivery. The promotion of prudent health care with a clear focus on the Together for Mental health Strategy is a priority for the  Mental Health Team.

Main duties of the job

This leadership role will have continuous responsibility and accountability for the delivery and maintenance of high quality evidence based care; work autonomously in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care; provide specialist care and advice to patients, colleagues and the wider multi-disciplinary team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a culture of continuous improvement within an integrated team ensuring safe and appropriate skill mix to meet patient care needs; lead and manage the team; delegate, support and supervise staff in the delivery of care.

This post will be responsible for establishing excellent working links with interface services, referrers and internal mental health colleagues. You will have exceptional communication skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships, demonstrating a ‘can do’ attitude’.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
