Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Secretary to provide support to the Associate Director for Intermediate Care Services and Specialist Medicine and their senior management team within the Central Integrated Health Community.
As the main point of contact for the Associate Director, this key role requires excellent secretarial, communication and organisational skills. Duties will include diary management, supporting meetings and email management. You will also need to have a flexible approach to work, having the ability to assess situations, prioritise incoming information, address issues directly and escalate issues to the Associate Director as appropriate.
Excellent people and organisational skills are essential including the ability to build strong working relationships with senior managers, stakeholders and key administrative staff. You will be a team player and be able to work on your own initiative and manage a complex and onerous workload.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
Providing high level secretarial services to the Central IHC Management Team for Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.
Communicates with organisations and individuals from inside and outside of the Health Board.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- RSA III / NVQ 3 Qualification or equivalent.
- GCSE/ GCE at grade C or above including English and Maths.
- Diploma in Office administration or demonstrable knowledge and experience to diploma level
Desirable criteria
- Typewriting/word processing qualification.
- NVQ or equivalent in Administration.
- Advanced ECDL Certificate.
- Audio Typing.
- Certificate in supervision or management
- ECDL Qualification.
- Ability to communicate in Welsh
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of using Microsoft office package including word, excel and powerpoint.
- Experience at a high level of providing a comprehensive administrative/PA service.
- Experience of setting up and using filing/IT systems
- Familiar with office procedures & deadlines
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience of working as Administrator / PA to an Executive Director or equivalent.
- Previous experience of working within the NHS.
