Job overview

An opportunity has arisen to join a highly motivated, customer focused Digital & Data Services Department as a Digital Learning Officer on a fixed term basis (18 months). 

The Digital Learning Team at TEWV creates high-quality digital resources, lessons plans and training delivery, primarily to support learning digital and data products and services.

We also offer support Trustwide to any department with digital learning requirements.    We collaborate closely with subject matter experts to create a range of products from an infographic to a complete online training package.

We aim to:
•    Provide effective and innovative learning materials that are accessible, enabling the creation of a safe digital environment that places patients, carers, and colleagues at the centre of what we do. 
•    To improve digital literacy and competency to result in a more digitally confident workforce.

You must have the Right to Work in the UK in order to be successfully appointed to this role. Please note, this role does not meet the required eligibility criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa and therefore the Trust is unable to offer sponsorship for this particular role.

Main duties of the job

  •  To design, create, and produce digital learning content to meet local, regional, and national agendas
  • Work closely with the trust services and third party suppliers to ensure that the digital learning content available enables full and proficient use of IT systems and products.
  • To process, record, and maintain service support documentation, and maintain version control systems for published learning and guidance material.
  • Evaluate current ways of working and providing digital guidance and support to ensure optimal use of information systems.
  • Use new digital learning or multimedia software to develop digital learning programmes and support guidance.
  • Support new and existing systems by identifying and addressing digital learning needs for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of new learning materials post-launch and during scheduled reviews.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to Degree standard in related subject or equivalent or with equivalent experiential learning
Desirable criteria
  • Certification in E-Learning or Digital learning subject

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of creating interactive and engaging learning packages and content
  • Experience of planning and delivering appropriate education and training, preferably in relation to the effective use of information and its associated technology
  • Experience of change management principles
  • Experience of gathering requirements experience of capturing and evaluating service user requirements
  • Able to demonstrate an awareness of new tools, technologies and techniques for digital learning and multimedia, and able to draw upon this knowledge to suggest the most appropriate solutions to a given problem.
  • Experience of working in an IT environment
  • Experience of working in a customer led service.
Desirable criteria
  • Work experience in an NHS environment
  • Experience in project environment

Knowledge and Skills

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of e-learning or digital learning technologies
  • Knowledge of facilitation and training delivery techniques
  • Flair for creating interactive and engaging digital content that promotes learning
  • Must be able to rapidly acquire skills to work with new technologies
  • Advanced computer literacy and keyboard skills
  • Good knowledge of standard PC applications (e.g. PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
