Job overview
The EPR Training Lead plays a pivotal role in the successful implementation of the Trust’s Electronic Patient Record, leading the day to day delivery of high quality face to face training as a core part of the Trust’s blended learning approach. Working at the heart of the programme, the role ensures staff are well prepared to use the system safely, effectively and confidently in clinical practice, with clear oversight of training uptake and completion.
The post holder coordinates and oversees consistent training delivery across services, working closely with trainers, clinical and corporate teams, and programme colleagues. Through hands on facilitation and practical, role based scenarios, the Training Lead supports staff to translate digital functionality into real world clinical workflows, while ensuring training activity is accurately recorded and reported.
You must have the Right to Work in the UK in order to be successfully appointed to this role. Please note, this role does not meet the required eligibility criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa and therefore the Trust is unable to offer sponsorship for this particular role.
Main duties of the job
Providing visible leadership during training and go live periods, the EPR Training Lead ensures learning environments are well resourced, responsive and well organised, supports trainers in real time, and identifies and escalates risks that could impact staff readiness, patient safety or programme delivery. By maintaining high standards and delivering timely, accurate reporting, the role makes a direct contribution to system adoption, staff confidence and the successful realisation of EPR benefits.
- Support the delivery of face to face EPR and digital skills training sessions in line with agreed training plans and the EPR training strategy
- Supervise day to day training activity, ensuring sessions start on time, are appropriately staffed, and follow approved training materials.
- Act as a key point of contact for trainers and learners, maintaining effective communication and strong working relationships across clinical, operational, and digital teams.
- Coordinate training activity, including schedules, rooms, equipment, and resources, to ensure efficient and timely delivery.
- Monitor training delivery, identify issues or risks, and take prompt action to resolve problems or escalate as required.
- Ensure accurate management of training information, attendance records, and reporting to support compliance, governance, and assurance.
- Manage physical resources and equipment effectively, ensuring training environments are fit for purpose.
