Job overview

Join a finance team where your insight will help improve the lives of people across our communities. At Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust (TEWV), we’re building a modern, people-focused finance service that underpins high-quality care in mental health, learning disability and autism services.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Income & Costing Team, part of Corporate Finance, as an Assistant Management Accountant. You’ll play a key role in producing accurate, timely financial information and meaningful analysis that drives decision-making and supports operational colleagues.

You must have the Right to Work in the UK in order to be successfully appointed to this role. Please note, this role does not meet the required eligibility criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa and therefore the Trust is unable to offer sponsorship for this particular role.

Main duties of the job

Working closely with the Head of Corporate Finance and Costing & Income Development Accountant, you’ll support accurate reporting, forecasting, and analysis across the Trust. Your responsibilities will include:

·       Supporting the production of monthly income management accounts, including reconciliations, ledger maintenance, and variance analysis.

·       Providing financial insight to help budget and finance managers understand performance and make informed decisions.

·       Preparing reports for monthly finance reports for handover meetings with finance colleagues

·       Maintaining accurate information within Oracle NEP (ledger system) and CIVICA Costmaster (costing system).

·       Assisting with NHSE information requests, FOIs, and costing submissions.

·       Supporting business cases, tenders, and ad hoc financial modelling through provision of accurate and timely costing information.

·       Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve accuracy and efficiency.
