Exciting Career Opportunity: Join Our New Security Team!
We're thrilled to announce new openings for Security g to join our newly established Security at Tees Esk Wear valleys NHS Trust. In this role, you'll be an integral part of a dedicated team providing essential 24-hour security services across all three of our hospital sites.
Main duties of the job
- Collaborative Security: Work closely with Trust teams to prevent and reduce criminal activity. Respond effectively to acts of violence and aggression as needed.
- Comprehensive Patrols: Conduct thorough and efficient 24/7 patrols of both internal and external areas of our hospital sites.
- Supportive Presence: Offer assistance and advice to patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring their safety and enhancing their experience.
- Enhanced Patient Care: Contribute to excellent patient care by maintaining a secure and supportive environment.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- SIA Accreditation including Frontline or Door Supervisors Licence
- Accredited Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression
- Basic Numeric and literacy skills
- Willingness to undertake job related training
Desirable criteria
- CCTV Operators Licence
- NVQ or similar qualifications
- Full Driving License
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Basic knowledge of the law and Use of Force Legislation
- Patient and client interactions which portray a professional, supportive and caring service
- Constructive team working and participation including multidisciplinary team relationships
- Personal organisation and time management with strong attention to detail
- Physically able to carry out physical intervention techniques
- Ability to work independently and use initiative, while being part of a team
Desirable criteria
- Mental health nursing or care work
- Knowledge of the application of all regulatory and legislative requirements required to ensure a Healthy & Safe environment including Infection Prevention and Control; Safe Working; Lone Working; and Manual Handling; Patient and Customer Care
