Job overview
The post holder will provide high level secretarial service to the Area Head of Operations and Area Head of Nursing for Mental Health & Learning Disability Division – BCUHB.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will communicate with colleagues at all levels across the Division and wider Health Board, and with organisations and individuals from outside of the Health Board.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- RSA III / NVQ 3 Qualification or equivalent
- ECDL Qualification or equivalent
- GCSE/O Level Maths & English Grade C or above
- Diploma in Office administration or experience at Diploma level
- Advanced knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation packages
Desirable criteria
- IT related qualification or equivalent experience
- Certificate in supervision or management or equivalent experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Audio Typing
- Typewriting / word processing qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience at a high level of providing a comprehensive administrative / PA service
- Ability to work unsupervised and make decisions
- Ability to take & transcribe succinct minutes
- Ability to work under pressure
Desirable criteria
- Ability to produce Reports
- Confident in all aspects of office practice
- Experience of producing graphs and statistics
- Previous experience of working within the NHS
