Job overview
Our vision and strategy are to “Transform patient care, safety and outcomes through digital technology and transformation to enhance ways of working”. You will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving a range of clinical systems used across the Organisation. This includes working closely with healthcare professionals to understand their requirements and optimising systems to meet clinical workflows to ensure these systems are reliable and compliant with patient safety standards. We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional with experience in supporting clinical applications in a healthcare setting. You will be able to work under pressure, have excellent communication skills, and collaborate effectively with teams to ensure changes to clinical systems are understood, and support safe, efficient patient care. Additionally, the position will require travel across North Wales to provide support to all BCUHB sites
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced work environment. A team player with a positive attitude, you’ll take ownership of your work and be eager to develop your skills in line with evolving both national and local digital systems, in line with patient care.
Main duties of the job
You’ll bring experience of providing ICT support within a healthcare or similarly regulated environment, ideally within a large or complex organisation. You will be confident in supporting and maintaining clinical systems, diagnostic reporting systems, and other NHS digital applications. A good understanding of operating systems, networking principles, and information governance requirements in a healthcare context is essential.
Experience of using a ITSM to log, track, and resolve incidents is required, along with the ability to work to ITIL based processes. Knowledge of NHS data standards, clinical workflows, and the integration of systems across different care settings would be an advantage – though full training on local systems will be provided.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and /or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
