Community Dental Services CIC is an award-winning employee-owned social enterprise that delivers high-quality, specialist community dental services across North Yorkshire, East and Central England.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Strategic Operations Manager who identifies with our values as a Social Enterprise and is passionate about delivering high-quality services for patients and communities.

Reporting to the Strategic Operations Lead, the Strategic Operations Manager will play a key role in supporting the delivery of CDS services through effective senior operational leadership. Working closely with operational and clinical teams, the successful candidate will help ensure services are delivered safely, effectively and efficiently, in line with contractual requirements, organisational priorities and regulatory standards.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide leadership and support to Operations Managers, overseeing performance, workforce planning, quality, governance and service improvement across allocated services. They will chair operational forums, promote consistency and shared learning, and support the implementation of CDS strategic priorities across the organisation.

The role will also contribute to business development activity, providing operational expertise as part of bid and tender teams, helping to develop service delivery models and supporting the growth and sustainability of CDS services.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate significant experience of operational management within healthcare or a similarly regulated environment, with responsibility for service performance, workforce management and quality assurance.

They will have excellent communication skills, the ability to analyse and interpret performance data, and experience of leading and supporting change and service improvement initiatives.

Experience of managing services across multiple sites, working within complex stakeholder environments and contributing to business development or tender activity would be advantageous.

A degree-level qualification, or equivalent experience relevant to healthcare operations or management, is required. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential as travel across CDS locations will be required.
