In this senior-level role, you'll play a vital part in delivering high-quality care within our adult audiology service  from conducting hearing assessments to managing rehabilitation plans for patients with complex needs. Main duties of the job

The post holder will participate in the provision of a comprehensive diagnostic audiology service and hearing rehabilitative service, working at a senior level. The post holder will participate in the diagnostic audiology service, including provision of audiology cover to ENT clinics (testing Paediatric and Adult patients) as well as in the adult rehabilitation service including management of complex patients. The post holder will also participate in the department’s training programme for students

  • ENT Outpatient Clinic Support: Provide audiology cover to ENT OPD clinics, working with both paediatric and adult patients. This includes performing a full range of diagnostic tests such as masked air and bone conduction audiometry, tympanometry, acoustic reflex testing, and otoacoustic emission testing, followed by clear communication of results to patients and their families/carers.

  • Diagnostic Audiology Services: Contribute to our diagnostic service through performance, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of both routine and complex audiological test procedures, with support and supervision as needed.

  • Hearing Aid Support for ENT Patients: Coordinate hearing aid provision for ENT clinic patients — including initial assessments, obtaining consent, preliminary counselling, and entering data into the patient management system (PMS).

  • Adult Hearing Aid & Rehabilitation Services: Play a key role in our adult hearing aid and aural rehabilitation services, including patients referred directly by GPs (aged 18+). You’ll independently manage both routine and complex patient pathways, including:

    • Thorough, patient-tailored assessments

    • Detailed case history taking

    • Holistic care planning to support long-term outcomes

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • BSc or equivalent in Audiology
  • Registration with professional UK body
Desirable criteria
  • HTS module in AR
  • MSc in Audiology

Experience
