Job overview

To provide efficient secretarial duties to relevant Clinicians and provide cross cover within the Obs & Gynae Team as per Service needs. To work together and collaboratively as part of a Team. To type letters and make sure correspondence and referrals are sent over to relevant parties per time and effectively cross communicate with relevant Team. To facilitate patient’s pathways and make sure they get booked into clinics per time. To find sooner appointments for long waiters to avoid 52 weeks breaches. To actively work on the Gynae waiting list weekly, to facilitate pathways and avoid breaches for own Clinicians patients. To monitor Clinicians clinic and ensure full clinic utilisation, and to escalate any issue to Line Manager. 

This is an office based position.

Main duties of the job

To coordinate effectively with our Hysteroscopy Lead Nurse and book patients into clinics accordingly, by prioritising our long waiters and ensuring each patient won't breach their pathway and also by prioritising any urgent requests. To send letters confirmation and leaflet to our patients prior to appointment date, to type letters & send correspondence to GP & patients. To be the point of contact between patients and Service. To work on the Gynae PTL weekly, ensuring patients won't breach their pathways, facilitating patient's pathways & prioritising our long waiters when populating clinics.
