Community Dental Services CIC are looking for an Associate Operations Director for our Prison Services who identifies with our values as a Social Enterprise and is passionate about providing care for those most at need.

CDS provide services at the following HMP establishments:

  • HMP North Sea Camp
  • HMP Bure
  • HMP Wayland
  • HMP Norwich
  • HMP Highpoint
  • HMP Warren Hill
  • HMP Hollesley Bay
  • HMP The Mount

Main duties of the job

With the support of the Chief Operating Officer and leadership team, the post holder will have an overarching responsibility of managing financial probity, clinical practices, and standards to deliver the highest quality of care to our patients. As a member of the leadership team, the Associate Operations Director will have a shared responsibility of delivering a full operational performance profile, UDA activity reporting as well as contributing to the ongoing development of CDS by making proposals to support improvement and innovation that contributes to corporate objectives and defines locality outcomes.

The postholder will maintain clinical practice responsibilities for the service, with a minimum of one day per week spent working clinically, or two days per week where the postholder works four days per week.

The successful candidate will have the ability to demonstrate a significant contribution to identifying, planning, organising and leading innovative projects to improve service delivery and will have experience in multidisciplinary working and successful development of joint development projects.  Experience of working in a custodial environment or in an emergency dental service would be an advantage.

Applicants must be GDC registered and have an active NHS performer number.

Enhanced DBS and the ability to meet Ministry of Justice clearance will be required.
