Job overview
We are looking to recruit a Band 3 team Administrator based in Bracknell.
The role will be part-time working 20 hours per week Monday to Friday.
Administrators are key to our Trust, supporting our service users and clinicians. You will benefit from a culture that is firmly centred on staff support and development, enabling genuine job satisfaction. Much of our work is innovative and you will enjoy full involvement, while being encouraged to contribute your own thoughts and initiatives.
Main duties of the job
- Working as part of our administrative team, you will support our clinicians in sending out correspondence and booking appointments. You will answer emails and telephone calls, following up actions where required.
- You will need to be confident in using the full Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- You will also be required to work on your own initiative and demonstrate a willingness to help others as a key member of the team.
- You will be expected to be able to prioritise work and meet deadlines to fulfil the requirements of the post.
- You will carry out day-to-day organisation of systems to ensure the smooth running of the administration team.

- Previous experience of working in an office or customer care environment
- Competent and experienced administrator with good IT skills and attention to detail and accuracy
- Professional telephone manner, able to deal with sensitive or challenging phone calls

Education/Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Basic level of healthcare administration knowledge
- NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification/experience
- Previous knowledge and experience of working in an office and/or customer care environment.
- Knowledge and experience of software programs/packages and a full range of administrative functions and duties (including taking minutes and noting actions)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Essential criteria
- Good interpersonal, communication, observation, and reporting skills
- Able to empathies, be supportive and sensitive to the needs of others as well as being able to cope with distressing circumstances.
- Ability to use a practical problem-solving approach in everyday situations.
- Good/advanced IT skills and the ability to navigate around various systems and software packages (such as outlook, databases, MS office and the internet)
- Ability to work effectively in a team, work on own initiative, work unsupervised and manage own workload.
Additional Requirements
Essential criteria
- Assist in the provision of basic (non-clinical) customer care support to service users with challenging behaviors, as required.
- Ability to travel to multiple sites (delete as appropriate)

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
