Job overview
We are looking to recruit a Community Respiratory Physiotherapist Band 5 training post upskilling to band 6 within 12 months if competencies met, based at The Coley Clinic in Reading. Enjoying responsibility, you will be happy to look after the physiotherapy component of the Berkshire West Community Based Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programme, part of the Community Respiratory Service, based within the Cardiac and Respiratory Specialist Services.
You will hold a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy and will have preferably experience in respiratory physiotherapy/pulmonary rehabilitation and experience with old age medical conditions, with a desire to become a specialist in the field.
Active participant in the development of the domiciliary physiotherapy respiratory service for Berkshire West patients, you will use clinical reasoning skills, clinical research, audit and data collection to provide support and advice in a community setting.

Main duties of the job
- To be responsible for the physiotherapy component of the Berkshire West Community Based Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programme
- To accept autonomous clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of patients with COPD within Berkshire West localities, providing high quality, responsive, specialist respiratory community physiotherapy services in patient’s homes or other appropriate locations
- Responsible for prioritising and monitoring referrals to the physiotherapy service for patients with COPD
The 3 “must haves” for you to be considered for this role:
- Registered Physiotherapist along with HCPC registration
- Post-graduate experience of working as part of a physiotherapy team and multidisciplinary team in Respiratory Medicine and/or Pulmonary Rehabilitation
- A full UK Driving Licence and have use of a car for work purposes
