Band 2 Patient Pathway Suport

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Urgent Care team as a Patient Pathway Support(PPS). We currently have an opportunity for a Fixed-Term Maternity Cover role as a full –time Band 2 PPS at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust (RBFT), who provides a first class, efficient, pro-active and patient focused admin service. 

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and organized individual to provide specialist admin support to CAT11 team which supports Cardiology, Respiratory and Stroke Medicine. You will need to be confident working within a team in a fast paced environment and have excellent IT skills, be comfortable communicating with patients and colleagues at all levels and work quickly and accurately under pressure.
You will be responsible and accountable for consistently and accurately carrying out your duties as well as the provision of a high quality and efficient service, providing this in a confident and courteous way to service users.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The post holder will be responsible for delivering an effective and efficient support service to specialty/CAT teams, to assist in the provision of quality patient care.  This will include general clerical and administrative duties that support the administrative elements of the entire patient pathway.

The post holder will have skills in all areas of administrative functions to enable them to support the patient pathway.

Essential criteria
  • Accurate data entry, typing and checking skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
  • Computer skills in MS Word and Excel

Previous experience

  • Experience of healthcare administrative systems and processes

  • Health records experience
  • Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team

  • Fit and physically capable of note handling, including lifting, carrying , bending and walking
