Job overview

As the digital applications developer, you will be responsible for ensuring
the RBFT digital systems are configured to meet our digital strategy
ensuring that 'best practice' ways of working are facilitated.
Bringing with you experience of developing digital applications, you will be key to implementing system changes that not only meet the requirements of the digital strategy and operational targets but also keep the Trust working on projects that meet its aspirations.
As a technical expert work alongside the Trust’s care groups, clinical teams and system suppliers as necessary, to participate in the design of any new workflows that will require the development of change within digital applications.
Analyse, document and carry out the configuration of the Trust business
change requirements within the digital applications.
Understand all current processes from an “as is” perspective in relation to
the specific work stream within the Trust.

Main duties of the job

Participate in the design of the new “to be” processes, completing process
flows, documentation and analysis of impacts / dependencies and the
configuration of digital applications.
Understand interfaces between systems and the data exchanged, to reflect
this requirement in any configuration changes.
Adhere to all policies and procedures within the development team. Work
collaboratively with colleagues in the support team, back office Informatics
and throughout the Trust.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

With extensive technical build experience of working within a project team to implement digital applications within an acute hospital, to work within the Delivery team to implement systems and the supporting processes.

As a digital applications developer with an appreciation of clinical and operational settings, to guide departments/team managers through technical development opportunities and transformation; performing impact analysis and planning of the new systems and technologies; and assessing changes to their processes, organisation and information (electronic and paper reporting).

With good experience of business benefits realisation within a project environment: Communications & Relationship Skills

To utilise highly developed communications skills to work alongside the change team to deliver appropriate information to clinical and operational teams to allow them to make the most appropriate decisions on new process and design.

To build strong relationships within the DDaT team to ensure that the post holder relays current thinking and future clinical strategies within DDaT projects.

To develop internal and external networks with peers to share good practice.

To represent DDaT project(s) within Trust, Care Group, and Departmental meetings, ensuring clear and positive communication flows between Trust areas.
