Job overview
An opportunity has become available to join the E-Rostering Systems team at Royal Berkshire Hospital. The post holder will be joining a small but dedicated team supporting over 6000 staff, across over 350 rosters.
E-Rostering systems ensure we have the right people, in the right place, at the right time, and are an essential part of facilitating safe staffing planning within the trust. As the first line support, the post holder will be a subject matter expert on the trust’s E-Rostering systems, and will be responsible for providing efficient and timely responses to users contacting our helpdesk service, as well as running training sessions on how to use the systems. The post holder will also support with further rollout, as and when required by the service.
Please note that this post is for full time hours. There is a mixture of onsite and hybrid working, with the expectation that you will be onsite a minimum of 2 days per week.
Main duties of the job
- Provide responsive email, telephone, and in person support to users of the E-Rostering systems
- Deliver training on the E-Rostering systems via Teams and in person
- Liaise with department managers to ensure rosters are configured correctly
- Provide reports to department and senior management teams
- Work closely with Recruitment, Temporary Staffing, Employee Relations, Medical Workforce, Payroll, and department leads
- Monitor interfaces between the E-Rostering systems and other providers (e.g. ESR, Temporary Staffing)
- Attend meetings, as and when required, relating to the E-Rostering systems
- Have an understanding of local and national policies, and best practice guidelines relating to E-Rostering

- Degree or equivalent qualification or substantial relevant experience.
- Evidence of training and development in business reporting.
Experience

- Experience of working on a complex database
- Project implementation experience
- Experience of organising and delivering training programmes and working with practitioners at all levels.
- Experience of providing Help desk support
- Engaging all levels of staff in change supported by agreed improvement objectives.
- Experience of working at advanced level in Microsoft Office applications: Power BI, Excel, Access
