The appointee will be expected to work closely with the regional MS service based in Oxford, to develop appropriate pathways for the most complex patients, and to prepare for the introduction of new therapies region-wide if and when they become available.
The role also includes dedicated time for participation in clinical research. The appointee will be expected to establish the local clinical infrastructure required for recruitment of patients into commercial clinical trials of MS therapies, with the expectation that Reading patients will be routinely given the opportunity to take part in research.
