Band 7 Clinical Pharmacist (Cancer Services)

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical Pharmacist to join our growing Cancer Services Team. This is a fantastic chance to make a real difference to patient care while developing specialist expertise within oncology and haematology services.

In this role, you will work in close collaboration with the Berkshire Cancer Centre and the Clinical Haematology Team, playing a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care for individuals undergoing cancer treatment. You will also work closely with the Pharmacy Aseptic Services Team, contributing to the safe, efficient preparation and supply of chemotherapy and other high-risk medicines.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong interest in Cancer Services, with well-developed clinical and technical skills. Training and support will be provided to enable progression towards becoming an Aseptic Services Authorised Pharmacist, and the post holder will deputise for the Lead Clinical Pharmacist(s) for Cancer Services as required.

Working as part of a team of Band 7 Cancer Services Pharmacists, the role also includes responsibility for the training and development of rotational Band 6 pharmacists.

This post is ideal for a pharmacist wishing to further develop specialist practice and leadership skills within a supportive multidisciplinary team focused on improving outcomes for patients with cancer.

We are looking for a highly motivated pharmacist with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within a multidisciplinary team. You will have excellent communication skills and significant hospital pharmacy experience.

The role requires a well-organised individual who can work accurately under pressure, manage competing priorities, and contribute to the development of both their own practice and the wider team. Experience in caring for patients with cancer is desirable but not essential, as full training and support will be provided within a supportive and experienced team.
