Job overview

Band 2 Ward Clerk (Adult Day Surgery Unit / Chesterman Unit)

Shift pattern 10am-6pm Monday to Friday. This is subject to change in case of staff absences to 7am-3pm.

We are looking for a ward clerk for our Adult Day Surgery Unit/Chesterman - the role will also involve covering both areas when required.

Adult Day Surgery is a 34 bedded day surgery unit caring for patients pre and post operatively.

Chesterman Unit is a newly opened 13 podded unit for patients requiring inpatient surgery to be admitted prior to their operation.

Experience in administration and customer-facing experience is essential for this post.

Main duties of the job

Providing administration support to the nursing and medical team.

Liaising with theatres and other members of the MDT.

Welcoming patients  on the unit.

Using  electronic patient record (EPR) system.
