To provide high quality professional administrative support to the Community Nursing Teams. To support the Team Leaders and community nursing teams to implement efficient office systems and procedures .
To ensure high standards of customer services are met at all times when liaising with staff, external organisations, patients and their relatives.
Although the post holder will mainly be based at Meadway and Bucklands community nursing team, you could be asked to travel or support any of our community nursing teams within the East locality.
Main duties of the job
We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to provide high quality professional administrative support to the Community Nursing teams – the successful post holder will be required to work from various teams in that locality to provide cover as required, so the candidate will need to demonstrate flexibility.
Are you a skilled administrator with experience of data bases? Microsoft Word and Excel? Able to work on your own initiative? With excellent communication skills?

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To provide a comprehensive administrative support to the community nursing team including typing of letters, minutes of meetings and other documentation.
Please note as part of the interview process, all interviewee's will be required to complete a Maths & English test.

Qualifications / training
Essential criteria
- GCSE Maths Grade C or above or equivalent/or equivalent experience
- NVQ Level 3 or Diploma
Desirable criteria
- ECDL or equivalent IT qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
- Able to work to deadlines.
- Experience of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Previous experience of administration and clerical work
Skills/knowledge
Essential criteria
- Ability to communicate to a high level with a wide range of people
- Ability to use tact and diplomacy when dealing with service users who may be distressed, emotional and/or verbally aggressive
- Proven Customer Care skills.
