Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Band 3 Physiotherapy Assistant to join the Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapy Service within Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for a dynamic individual who is passionate about providing a first class service to people with a variety of musculoskeletal disorders.
Our Musculoskeletal Service is a busy and forward thinking provider of Community Outpatient Physiotherapy across seventeen clinic sites in Birmingham serving a diverse population. We receive referrals for acute and chronic conditions from GPs and self referral and have Physiotherapy, Orthopaedic Triage, Pain Management Teams within our Service.
Previous experience of working in a Community Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy environment would be an advantage.
Main duties of the job
The Assistant role provides support to qualified staff in an outpatient setting, in addition to other health care related tasks and administration duties. The role works clinically under the supervision of Physiotherapists for all aspects of patient care and treatment. You will be expected to work with clients on a one to one basis which includes of the provision of walking aids, exercises and advice/education. There may be opportunities to support with classes. You would also be expected to support the clinicians in clinic, complete admin and clinic maintenance tasks and be a fully flexible member of the MSK Assistant pool.
Travel between clinics would be required and therefore applicants need to be car drivers and have access to a car. There may be the opportunity for flexible working.
