Within  Adults and Specialist Rehabilitation Division we have a part time position of 18.75hrs p/w available at CU27, Good Hope Hospital which we are looking to fill on a 4 month secondment basis. 

 

Main duties of the job

The post holders will be expected to support systems and processes in the team and underpin the smooth running of the office.  It is, therefore, essential that you possess excellent organisational and communication skills.  There will be an expectation for the postholder to provide cover for other teams within the Adults and Specialist Inpatient services.

The position requires some contact with members of the public, GPs, departments within the Trust, also with external agencies, so good communication and interpersonal skills will be required, along with the ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise your work.

Person specification

Qualifications / training

Essential criteria
  • RSA II or OCR Equivalent word processing or administrative subject.
  • NVQ Level II in Business Administration / Customer Service or equivalent experience
  • GCSE certificate in English and Maths

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience in preparation and use of complex IT and data systems, presenting complex written and verbal information.
  • Relevant experience in an administrative role.
  • Experience of call handling and customer care
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working in a health or custodial setting

Skills/knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Excellent organisational/ prioritisation skills and the ability to meet deadlines, often working with sensitive or contentious information within varying environments.
  • Work effectively on own initiative or as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience in dealing with a range of disciplines.
  • Competent user of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Patient Clinical Systems.
