We’re looking for an exceptional Clinical Nurse Specialist who is also a Non-Medical Prescriber to join our innovative Adult ADHD service.
Main duties of the job
This isn’t your average nursing role. You’ll:
- Use your prescribing expertise to transform patient outcomes.
- Lead non-pharmacological approaches to ADHD care.
- Run reasonable adjustment workshops supporting people to lead empowering lives.
- Work as part of an inspiring, multi-disciplinary team shaping the future of ADHD services.
We’re looking for someone who is:
A Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
A Non-Medical Prescriber with proven experience
Confident in delivering creative, evidence-based approaches to treatment — both pharmacological and non-pharmacological.
A strong communicator and team player who thrives in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.
Proactive, adaptable, and resilient — ready to take ownership and drive service excellence

Training and qualification
Essential criteria
- Qualified Nurse, Degree or diploma qualified.
Desirable criteria
- First Degree level, Independent prescriber
Responsibility
Essential criteria
- History of holding responsibility and accountability for nursing decisions and empowering nurses to make difficult clinical decisions
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge & experience of NICE guidance relating to neurodevelopmental conditions (ADHD & autism)
Knowledge and experience
Essential criteria
- Significant experience of mental health
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working with service users with neurodevelopmental conditions
Skills
Essential criteria
- Comprehensive range of nursing skills ranging from psychological therapies to medication management
Desirable criteria
- Experience of delivering groups/workshop
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Registered, practicing Non-Medical Prescriber
Desirable criteria
- Evidence of post registration additional training relevant to the role
