With digital becoming a critical dependency in Healthcare, availability of our services is essential.  The skills to develop, support and maintain our systems and services are done in house with the help of a highly motivated group of technical specialists, first and second line support, field engineers, trainers, application developers, specialist application support and a dedicated administrative team.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an enthusiastic  ICT Support Assistant to join our Service Delivery team in a fixed term position for 12 months to support the our equipment refresh project.

The role includes the installation of end user hardware and software for the implementation of ICT systems as part of the regular refresh programme.

The role will also require the timely update of technical and asset documentation used within the team.

You must have excellent communication and organisational skills; you will be dealing with all staff across the Trusts’ Corporate and Clinical Services, at all levels. You also must have experience in the use and maintenance of Microsoft Active Directory, knowledge of ICT including  hardware and Microsoft Office packages.

You will work under the supervision of the Senior ICT refresh project lead who will be leading the team.

Working for our organisation

Welcome to Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.  Our 4000 clinical and support staff help us to improve mental health wellbeing and meet the needs of the 70,000 people we serve each year.  We provide a range of mental healthcare services across Birmingham and Solihull, as well as specialised services nationally. We also offer medical, nursing and psychology training and are proud of our international reputation for both research and innovation.
