Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (BSMHFT) have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and highly motivated Project Manager to join the Trusts established, dynamic programme management office. The post holder will manage a range of innovative and strategically important projects across key Digital and Service Redesign programmes which aim to enhance patient care across the Trust and the wider region.

 

BSMHFT is one of the largest mental health Foundation Trusts in the country, providing mental health services to a culturally and socially diverse population. Main duties of the job

Experience with project management tools and techniques and the ability to apply them to complex work is essential. A comprehensive understanding of benefit management and effective management of risks and issues across project(s) are also required skills. You will also be an excellent communicator who is able to engage with colleagues at all levels.

The post holder will have delegated responsibility for planning, managing, and coordinating agreed projects whilst ensuring relevant project documentation is maintained in-line with programme management office processes.

Applicants will be educated to a degree level or equivalent, have a Prince 2 Practitioner qualification with a minimum of two years’ experience in at least two of the following:

 

 - experience of managing multiple high profile/large scale projects

 - managing projects within a controlled project management environment

 - experience of preparing detailed programme plans, reports and other project specific governance documents 

 - leading project teams, including senior stakeholders and external partners

 

A regular on-site presence is required as determined by the needs of the project.

This role gives the opportunity for hybrid working and you will typically be asked to work in a hybrid way, working from your home and also from Trust HQ The Uffculme Centre, or any other agreed site.
