Job overview
Our service is based within Ocean Ward and Complex Care within the community. You will also work alongside a variety of specialist teams involved in the care of our children.
Working as part of our dynamic and developing team, you will meet the needs of children requiring complex nursing care and ventilation whilst they await discharge to the community.

Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will assist the Clinical Educator and LTV Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide educational support to parents, trained carers and nursing staff across Birmingham Children’s Hospital and outreach into the community. You will be required to deliver practical teaching about children with complex health care needs and also help develop educational programmes to meet the needs of this service.

- Current registration with nursing and midwifery council (NMC) - Child Branch
- Two years HDU/PICU/Rehabilitation or community experience
- Evidence of teaching - (Example SLAIP)
Desirable criteria
- Post graduate for medical education (Example PG Cert Course)
- BLS trainer
