Job overview
The primary objective of this post is to support the delivery of comprehensive care for children with a range of neurological problems presented to the tertiary service within West Midlands, referred by our counterparts from secondary care. In addition to the delivery of core general neurology clinics, the successful candidate will have an opportunity to work collaboratively within the established multidisciplinary team to actively contribute across the department’s established neurology sub-specialties.
There is recognition within the department to be innovative and implement new practices to ensure our service continues to compare with the best standards in the country and overseas. In addition to the on-site delivery of outpatient and inpatient services, the department provides regional and supra-regional specialist advice
The appointee should have tertiary-level training in Paediatric neurology with broad expertise in general neurology conditions as well as experience working in a multidisciplinary team in both common and complex neurological problems and their associated complications. Proven experience in a Paediatric neurology subspeciality and a desire to innovate and develop services would be advantageous.
