Main duties of the job

In this role you will undertake receptionist duties, support stock control and support the administration of the pharmacy team. You will provide dispensing support to The Medicines Chest as part of development and training.

  • GCSE’s in English and Maths
  • Knowledge of data protection and patient confidentiality

Skills/ experience

  • Excellent Customer Service
  • Experience in a retail environment
  • Good time management skills, able to prioritise
  • Excellent keyboard skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Access and Excel to manipulate data
  • Ability to format and understand reports generated by computer systems
  • Experience with data handling and data validation
  • Ability to write, understand and follow procedures
  • Ability to tackle routine tasks accurately
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Desirable criteria
  • Previous experience of pharmacy computer systems such as EPIC or Ascribe
  • Previous experience of working in a hospital pharmacy environment
