Job overview

As a qualified Dental Nurse you will be responsible for supporting the service in ensuring that our service users needs are met through the delivery of high-quality care.

You will be part of a motivated dental team delivering excellent patient care. Assisting with minor oral surgery procedures and supporting during appointments.

We are looking for experienced and highly motivated Dental Nurses, with excellent clinical and communication skills to join our dynamic Dental team.

 

Main duties of the job

Reception and preparation of patients for operative procedures with chair-side assistance throughout treatment.

Preparation of clinical areas including materials, instruments, equipment,
dressings and syringes. 

To assist with medically ill patients.

To assist with day-case surgery under local and general anaesthesia
and intravenous sedation.

To be familiar with bio-hazard precaution and procedures.

To assist with the running of pre-admission clinics.

To assist with stock control of all consumables.

Contribute administrative support using Lorenzo computer system.

Obtaining information/x-rays from other Hospitals and liaise with other
professionals regarding patient care.

To contribute in the preparation of monthly statistics.
