Senior Pharmacy Assistant

Job overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic pharmacy team and provide a focal point between pharmacy and the theatres. The post holder will have excellent communication skills enabling them to liaise with theatre staff to help ensure safe and appropriate storage of medicines.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of the role include receipt and distribution of medicines into the pharmacy. This will include processing orders and invoices as well as performing ward stock replenishments using the automated Omnicell drug cabinets.
The post holder will also spend time in theatres acting as a focal point between the pharmacy and this key clinical area. This will help to ensure the safe storage of medicines and to ensure critical medicines are available at the point of care.
