Job overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced administrator. The successful post holder will be responsible for providing high level administrative support to the Mental Health, Learning Disabilities and Autism Team, providing a comprehensive support service with a range of administrative and IT skills and knowledge of procedures, protocols and function. The post holder is expected to work flexibly to ensure that a high quality administrative and support service is maintained at all times. The post is for 2 days (15 hours), working Wednesday and Friday, however there may be a chance for some flexibility around this.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for providing high level administrative support to the Learning Disability and Autism Team, providing a comprehensive support service with a range of administrative and IT skills and knowledge of procedures, protocols and function. This will range from organisation of meetings and preparation of minutes to raising purchase order numbers and updating spreadsheets.
The post holder will have responsibility for ensuring the Assuring transformation database is kept up to date and work with providers to ensure all information is available. Organise Care (Education) and Treatment reviews (C(E)TRs) and programme meetings; ensuring that data systems are kept up to date and accurate.
Working as part of a collective administrative function across the Learning Disability and Autism Team and will be expected when needed to provide cross cover across the team for sickness, annual leave and periods of peak workloads where additional support is required.

Essential criteria
- Significant administrative/ secretarial experience including initiating and maintaining office systems
- Clear communicator with excellent writing, data entry and presentation skills: capable of constructing and delivering clear information/ instructions to staff and patient’s, families and carers
- Ability to produce well - presented material demonstrating a high level of accuracy
- Ability to work without supervision, able to work on own initiative, organising and prioritising own and others workloads to changing and often tight deadlines in a fast paced department
- Dealing with sensitive and confidential information
- Intermediate knowledge of IT systems and software programmes such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Office 365
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience in similar role in the health sector
- Demonstratable experience in dealing with the public

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
